Dear Sangha and Friends,
Below is a photo of our main altar. The bronze figure represents Manjushri, the embodiment of Wisdom; the ceramic figure represents Kwan-yin, the embodiment of Compassion. These are the qualities that we seek to realize in our practice.

Mission Statement
* To provide a supportive environment for the teaching and practice of Zen Buddhism.
* To actualize the principles and practices of Zen Buddhism through family, community, work, the arts, and service to others.
* To ensure the continuation of this teaching and practice for future generations.
I encourage you to take a look around on this website prajnazendo.org for a complete description of what we offer and for monthly calendars of events. From weekly zazen, to retreats (sesshin), to wilderness hikes, there are many and varied ways to practice with us. You are welcome to join in any and all of these activities.
Prajna Zendo is supported primarily by membership contributions and by donations from those who take advantage of the many opportunities we offer for Zen practice.
Although we budget carefully and spend frugally, each year we run a deficit. The contributions of people like you, who support our mission, are crucial in allowing us to continue to offer opportunities to practice in this tradition. Prajna Zendo is a 501c3 non-profit organization, so all of your contributions are tax-deductible. Please help us to whatever extent you can. Checks can be mailed to:
Or you can donate through this website using PayPal, below.
For those who wish to become members or renew membership, the Board of Directors has decided to raise membership contributions from $30/month or $300/year to $35/month or $350/year. This represents the first raise in membership fees for this century, and it will help greatly in meeting our budget.
And please let us know if you'd like to subscribe to our mailing list--Contact Prajna Zendo
Thank you, Musai Roshi
Donations
One of the Perfections taught by the Buddha is Dana Paramita, the Perfection of Generosity. Generosity is a compassionate practice that recognizes the interconnectedness of all beings. The continued existence of Prajna Zendo as a practice center depends on your generosity. Please consider a generous gift to support the teaching of Musai Roshi and the practice of all who come to Prajna Zendo.
Prajna Zendo is a not for profit, 501(c)3, religious organization. All donations are tax-deductible.
Giving means non-greed. Non-greed means not to covet. Whether it is of teaching or of material, each gift has its value and is worth giving.
